After teaching Headstart in a public school system in Alabama, she earned her Master’s of Education in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia in 1973. Having taught all ages of preschool children, she became a director of a child care center while teaching adjunct Child Development courses at a technical school. In 1974 she came to Reinhardt College as a faculty member and as a staff trainer for the federally funded child care programs in a six county area in North Georgia. Since she came to Reinhardt, Lindsey has taught various education and psychology courses and is presently the Director of Field Experience in the Price School of Education. In her present position, she does field placements for all education courses along with the placement of student teachers in the local school systems. Her interests include lifespan development, program development, and the support of students in the field. She is the mother of one daughter and the grandmother of one young granddaughter.
